Switch 2 is a Nintendo console. It's going to sell like crazy regardless of the software available on release.

I would much rather a refresh every 5+ years with a more profound hardware improvement. I'm even fine with closer to 10 years if the technology hasn't changed that much at the 5 year mark.

It's my target spec and the platform I test the most on for my outside of work stuff. The steam deployment app works so well it makes testing on the steam deck just as easy as testing on my dev machine with a gamepad.

At work it depends on the title but we've definitely used it as a test target. Usually in the minspec range

They say it's vscode in the article. I can't say I've seen anything that egregious happen with unity in visual studio.

It's stuff like this though that keeps me from using vscode for code editing (I use it for markdown and JSON file editing only). I guess I don't know what I'm missing but it's never been a smooth experience for me. If I'm on Windows I tend to stick with visual studio.

Maybe I should consider rider...

This is my experience as well. It's been great to make an application that's small in scope, doesn't require access to my main project repo and is basically a nice to have value add for the client.

I was already quite adept in the language and frameworks involved and the risk was very small so it wasn't a big time sink to review the application PR's. Had I not been it would have sucked.

For me the lesson learned wrt agentic coding is to adjust my expectations relative to online rhetoric and it can be sometimes be useful for small isolated one-offs.

Also it's once in a blue moon I can think of a program suitable for agentic coding so I wouldn't ever consider purchasing a personal license.

Wow good for them. I wish we took it that seriously in North America.

That was the point that made me remove Amazon from my life. Obviously it was building up but kudos to Amazon for being the one to push me over the line to quit up Amazon.

It's admittedly a bit tasteless but Nick Mullins Jordan Peterson impression leaves me in tears every time.

Different Nick Mullins haha.

If you search "cumtown Nick Mullins Jordan Peterson" on YouTube that should get you there (yes it's crass but in the context of Jordan Peterson it's funny)

What were the policy goals?

Reducing illegal immigration seemed to be the primary one. Some stuff on civil rights too, but I'm not sure if that was a big concern for the guy I was talking to or an attempt to find common ground where he knew I'd be more sympathetic.

Nausicaa was definitely his best work. It was also one of his earlier works and that can be hard to recapture.

I'd love to see the original manga story animated. There are so many beautiful scenes and plots missing from the movie...

However, it couldn't just be a sequel of the movie, as it diverged from the manga story line near the end.

I love Nausicaa but I would argue technically it has some weaknesses in the narrative and pacing compared to later works.

So in case someone comes to this without previous exposure Nausicaa may not be the best place to start. It _is_ nice.
