cool. But PCIe 4.0 is doing just fine for me thanks.

And the 640kB of RAM!

bean soup theory in action

Sure. Or I am just making a commentary on how Micron has forgone the consumer market for this. Either way is fine as an interpretation though.

How much could a banana cost, Michael? $10?

How customized are your system prompts (i.e. the static preferences you set at the app level)?

And do you perhaps also have memory enabled on the LLMs you are thinking of?

"There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part! You can't even passively take part! And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels ... upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!"

Well, except that you have debts like mortgages and car loans to pay off. And your kids need to participate in extra-curriculars so they can get into a good school, and those cost money. And theaters are out of fashion now, so you'll need to buy that 80" TV with the surround sound so you can have a theater at home. And your shows are now on 6 different streaming services so that'll cost a little extra each month. And life really is easier with AI, but they all have strengths and weaknesses so you'll probably want to pay for 2, if not 3 of them. And your fast fashion gets threadbare after 20 or 30 washes so you'll need to regularly order 3 or 4 replacement shirts so you can send back the 2 that don't fit quite right.

Anyways back to the gears and whee.... oh look a squirrel!

“slightly infantilizing” might be an appropriate course given how well LLM sycophancy works on the general populace.

i have no issues in brave on linux mint

I've recently been wondering if audiophilia is so polarizing a topic for reasons related to concept that some folks hear Laurel instead of Yanny.

Have you? Assuming Google would want to not put all their chips on that one number and invest all available capital in the purchase of a nation, and assuming that nation were open to being purchased in the first place (big assumption; see Greenland), Google is absolutely still in a place to be able to purchase multiple smaller countries, or one larger one.

Greenland already has a wealthy benefactor, I'd be surprised if poor countries wouldn't be interested

Well you’re talking about it and not Siri

Jokes on them. I won't buy either. I'll stick with my home assistant a d locally owned devices.

Lost internet today for hours and for once, my local devices had no issues. It depresses me I was even interested in app-based devices.

You mean like an “unclean hands“ defense?
