Try switching ISPs. [0] Even Comcast provided me IPv6 service fifteen, twenty years ago.

Me personally; I have a similar mini pc with kubuntu installed, coolify to deploy my projects & cloudflare tunnels to expose them to the internet. the mini pc is still usable for daily use so that's great too

Me personally I use it to upload files (from my phone or sometimes other random devices) to a folder I call "void". "void" can be used by everyone to upload something but only I can read it. I also have some public pics, vids and music files here and there. It's so convenient & easy to handle, honestly a better alternative to other cloud providers in some ways in my opinion.

I've been using it ever since it got really popular last july; it's super duper convenient. Especially when I am on a different device (work laptop; or something else, just anything), Whenever I need to upload my data somewhere to access it later I just upload it to my configured folder (which only admins can read; anonyms can only write). I also have some other folders publically visible for everyone with some pics & vids; (unreleased) music here and there

DDoS prevention may be essential, but not CloudFlare.

Who is motivated to launch DDoS against smaller businesses? What do they have to gain?

My small SaaS app has been DDoSed a handful of times, always accompanied by an email asking for a ransom in the form of bitcoin.

The first time we switched to Cloudflare which saved us. Even with Cloudflare, the DDoS attempts are still damaging (the site goes down, we use Cloudflare to block the endpoints they're targeting, they change endpoints, etc.) but manageable. Without Cloudflare or something like it, I think it's possible that we'd be out of business.
