Biden and democrats increased funding in order to have the resources to go after rich offenders and they were doing it successfully and earning more than it cost, but Trumpublicans immediately rescinded it.

Yet they refused to codify the "promise" it wouldn't be used for under 400k income families. Look at what they do, not what they say. In public they make 'promises' but in statute it turns into ether, meanwhile real audit data pointing to otherwise.

... this was a direct response to parent stating increased funding was added specifically for going after rich people. Yes I would be upset if I was told they were adding new funding specifically to go after rich tax cheats but then turns out to be something like "welp actually we refuse to codify that or make anything binding that it will be used for those purposes, but for the cameras we will pinky swear it will be used for that and please don't look at the historical data for inferences."

Every single transaction is public information. If you carry a wallet into Iran, and it's coins are used through 20 different transactions to purchase weapons, all of those can be traced back to their origin.
That's like saying every currency note is traceable because it has a serial number. If someone hands you a dollar today can you trace it starting from where it was printed to everything it was used for until it eventually got into your hands?
Yeah you can look up bitcoin wallet IDs on the ledger, but you can also generate an unlimited number of wallets, and pass coins in any combination through any number of mixers and tumblers, and exchange it between multiple currencies (some of them truly untrackable). If people or organizations want to stay anonymous in the crypto ecosystem they can very easily do so.
The difference is that with cash we don't write the serial number of every bill for every transaction in an easily-accessible central ledger. There's no such thing as an off-the-books Bitcoin transaction, by nature.
Most bitcoin transactions actually happen off-chain (aka "off the books"), mostly through exchanges but also through decentralized layers like Lightning Network. It's also possible to physically transfer value by exchanging a signing device or seed phrase.
There is always a risk of things like this. For example, to make my winecap bed, I had to get a bunch of woodchips. There is no way woodchips that one will buy in bulk are not contaminated with the spores of other wood-eating fungus.
What you learn is how to positively identify the mushrooms you intend to produce/eat. It doesn't take long. I've only had alien mushrooms show up once.
On the other hand, the morels that seemed to come with a load of wood chips were great for the year or two we had them.
I tried growing a little wine cap bed once, and it hadn't gone well. Perhaps it was the chickens pecking at it, can't say. I do still get wine caps on occasion, but they have migrated to more far-flung parts of the yard.

You probably already know this, but for anyone reading, there’s a species of mushrooms that looks kind of like morels that is poisonous, potentially fatally so.
Adding poisons (fumigation) is definitely not a good idea. In mushroom plants the compost/humus used to grow mushrooms is often steam boiled to sterilize it, to keep the yields high and the production safe from any dangerous contamination. It is seeded with the spores of the desired species afterwards.
So the thing about mushrooms is you pretty much have to stick them in your mouth and chew for them to hurt you.
There are plants that can screw up your life if you touch them, but people sort of have the two threat levels flipped in their heads. The scariest thing a fungus can do to your insides is horrible, but an insect or animal can do the same but also you die screaming. So... be careful out there kids. And don't go to Australia.
I imagine it would require the bad spores to be carried with the good ones. Typically you get a slurry solution that you carry in distilled water, injecting your substrates. That would need to have the bad stuff in it as well.
Wild spores and such yeah. When you purchase spores for the intent of growing them, you generally get a kit to mix them into a syringe or they already arrive in the syringe ready to be used. I tried growing some culinary strains and they generally come in the mail like that.
They said "Available Today" on January 4th but have said actually customer deliveries are planned for April.

As far as I can tell, no solid-state TS Pro (the TS Pro itself is not an entirely new model and has been around for a couple of years) has been delivered to any customers yet. They're supposed to be delivered in Q1/26, so it shouldn't be too long if they intend to keep their promises. Although if you were to order one today, your bike wouldn't arrive until Q4/26 according to their website.
I just bought a bluray drive and I've started ripping movies. The quality is fantastic on an HD bluray upscaled on a 4k tv, and even a DVD looks far better than I thought it would, and far better than it did 20 years ago when DVDs were current.
Vinegar syndrome has a couple UHD releases that are on 100GB BluRay. Storage available has been.. ahem, sparse. But you can get a real nice nearly-automated workflow for ripping with makemkv.
Beware that not just any Blu-ray drive will work with UHD Blu-ray discs. There's both hardware limitations (100GB aka BDXL) and firmware restrictions (incl. copy protection) for with the drive needs support. Some drives with the hardware to support BDXL but without official UHD support can be patched to support UHD but check the MakeMKV forums before you buy such a drive.
I haven't come across any Vinegar syndrome releases yet (that I'm aware of) but lots of Shout! Factory or Arrow Video ones. From the Films that I'm interested in more have UHD releases now than not.
That’s a really cool project. For now I’m just grabbing them from the library and record stores. Can’t justify spending more on them than I would on streaming.
This is a cool project and I know hacking is good in and of itself, but I wanted to share that my family and I use a whiteboard on the fridge and a paper calendar to great effect. It brings us closer to each other while keeping us from missing appointments and events, and allows us to leave messages for each other to be viewed in slow time.
a lot of really fun stuff. From fun little scripts to more complex business/life/hibby admin stuff that annoyed me a lot (eg organizing my research).
for instance i can just drop it a YT link in Telegram, and it then will automatically download the transcripts, scan them, and match them to my research notes. If it detects overlap it will suggest a link in the knowledge base.
Works super nice for me because i am a chaotic brain and never had the discipline to order all my findings. openClaw does it perfectly for me so far..
i dont let it manage my money though ;-)

it sounds crazy but the key is to talk to it about everything!! openClaw is written in such a way that its mega malleable. and the more it knows , the better the fit.
it can also edit itself in quite a fundamental way. like a LISP machine kind of :-)
I never found that engineering helped much at the hackathons I went to. It was always a slick UI that didn't really do anything, and a good presentation.
