I had a macbook for work previously and it was just as shit as windows due to all the junk running in the background.

Best thing about markdown is the barrier to entry of non technical folks, it stops them shitting over technical documentation and steers them to Confluence or sharepoint for their die on the vine slop.

Finder shows them in the sidebar and you just click on it.

Apple OS (both classic and NeXTStep) are not keyboard driven but mouse driven.

Same for Explorer, really. The SMB hosts that announce themselves show up in the sidebar.
