ETIQ | Remote within UK | Senior Full-stack engineer | Full-time

This is an amazing role for someone who wants to lead on building a platform AND wants to make the world a fairer place. We are an early-stage, funded start-up building software to help mitigate algorithmic bias. Whether it's in policing and sentencing, recruitment or financial products, people's lives are impacted by automated decisions on a daily basis. The algorithms that drive these automated decisions are often biased against certain demographic groups. At ETIQ, we want to help prevent and mitigate these biases so that technologies like ML and AI can help promote equal opportunity and not amplify inequality.

So far we have focused on our core technology and we are now building our full product offering and scaling our capacity. We are looking for a Senior Full-stack engineer to join us to help build our debiasing platform. This role will see you working on all areas of the product architecture from database design and implementation to application architecture and delivery through to deployment. You will be supported by a mid-level software engineer and work closely with the data science team which builds the ML models at the core of the platform including AI researchers from Bath University and Edinburgh University.

Remote works for us, but you will need to be UK based. If you are interested or know someone who is please get in touch: raluca@etiq.ai For more details, please see link below: https://www.etiq.ai/#careers

love your demo

thank you!

hey, I tried to get the app (full disclosure we're building something in the same general ballpark - still very different), either way I was really curious to try it out but it sent me to this: app.fetching.io uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer) (just thought you might want to know)

Hmm, sorry to hear that :( We're not seeing that across the major browsers, I can't say why you would. It's a ghandi.net provided certificate, I assume they would work well like any other authority..

Also, I'd love to touch base on what you're building!

sure, it might be my connection; i'll email you through your site - I just realized I could have in fact done that earlier!
