Amazon prime! A paid service with advertisements for the original content no one wants to watch.

You know something went wrong when I've got an Amazon Prime account, but I still pirate any of their video content that I want to watch.

I do exactly same, even uninstalled their shitty tv app which managed to be stay slower than other streaming apps for many years, even on fire tv stick.

Well it's better for Samsung as they can probably sell you a new phone

Why is this published on github.com? Is google somehow incapable of making official announcements through their own web properties?

It sure sounds like my Arduino is subject to this since it can download a sketch and run it when hooked to my PC

Unless I'm mistaken wasn't someone at Microsoft suggesting they would just develop their own models soon?

I this $110 Billion more or just $110 billion historically?

More

I'm rather confused by this. The military is a branch of the government. Are they really subject to the laws of the US & the regulations of the FAA? The Posse Comitatus Act is often cited here, but so long as the military force believes they are defending against a foreign force there is no actual prohibition on the use of force.

isn't this more comparable to the incident where a US Navy ship shot down an Iranian aircraft. They somehow convinced themselves it was a lone attack aircraft coming to intercept them:

The sleeping light - because what all hardware requires is blindingly bright LEDs that are always on. Even when that hardware is asleep

As the post states, it was almost always accompanied by a light sensor. It always got dimmer either by that sensor or internal clock.

My desk was at the end of my bed. The MacBook with sleep light was always on that. It was never bright at night. Dimming half a second after I turn the light off. Even if the lid was closed.

Oh, also, you can swap batteries of Macs during sleep if it has a removable battery, without losing state.

This is why Apple is Apple.

*Was

That era is long dead and gone, regardless of the current state of such a light.

Sadly, or not, they still sell the best laptops.

Yeah the "off light" has always really bugged me. It's like Homer Simpson's "everything's OK alarm."

I pretty much figure from the title it's self reported and yep: "We gather self-reports from a genotyped sample of thousands of partly related individuals from the Netherland".

And the author summary goes on to state: "Many people experience chills when listening to music, reading poetry, or viewing art. Yet not everyone feels these reactions in the same way.". So the subjects aren't even self reporting the same thing.
