For appcrap and webcrap startups, that's true.

But thinking like this is how Theranos crashed and burned. Their funders needed to ask hard questions, and didn't.

It was mentioned in the post that companies such Tesla, Theranos, etc are the exceptions and that's absolutely correct (it would be very naive to think otherwise).
