Ask HN: Is it the right time for the linux killer graphics app?

Currently you'll see in hn at the rhythm of once or twice a day a post about people you switched/are switching from macs to linux. To me, and I'm the only thing really preventing me from switching to linux is not having anything comparable to Sketch/illustrator/Affinity Designer. Do many of you feel the same or do you see any other show stoppers?

Krita is an alternative to Sketch. Inkscape is an alternative to Illustrator. Whether it's an alternative to Affinity Designer, I don't know. I never used the latter.

Had Adobe been working on some sort of "Creative Workstation" product for Linux / Wayland, they would now be excellently positioned to pick up disillusioned users.
