In Italy we have an interesting app that is kind of a green social network: people are told some actions they could do, and then you can share proof of your actions with the community and get points. You can then use those points as discounts for green shops.

Remove beef industry subsidy at every level of government, making beef as expensive as it really is. People will eat less beef and production will also go down.
What won't move the needle:
I walked to the store one time.
What will:
Creating more accessible, more frequent, and more pervasive public transportation, even for small towns.
City planning that doesn't require a car for most things.
Eliminating the government subsidy for fossil fuels -- which would make the price of fuel as high as it should be, which would cause less production and less demand.
I'm a fan of trying to take responsibility. I'm also a fan of not pissing into the wind.
Thanks for the feedback. I understand your point but I believe that cutting the demand will move the needle. Besides people should know the effect that these actions and products are causing.
