Craziest statistic: of the 31 serious crashes involving driver-assist systems in the U.S. since June 2016, 25 of them involved Tesla Autopilot.



It does not matter how you dice up the statistics. Of the millions of cars with driver assist, Tesla's make up the majority of serious accidents, and the majority of accidents of vehicles crashing into emergency vehicles on the road. On an absolute basis, relative basis, per capita basis, etc., Tesla Autopilot has more, serious crashes than all other driver assist systems. (And note that this does not include any FSD-related accidents.)

This is an issue because Tesla markets its cars as being "safer" than other company's vehicles, and the data shows that their driver assist system is objectively not.
