Barely anything other than good will protects you from the vpn provider cloning all network traffic and zipping it up in $YOUR_PAYPAL_EMAIL.zip and cashing it in at a data harvesting company. I'd be willing to bet 90%+ of vpn purchases are not made with crypto and thus trivial to link with name and or email.
...And what happens to genuine, deserving people who either don't have an internet connection, or social media, or who do precious little online browsing for whatever reason?
Right, this horrible idea is digital imperialism conjured up by nasty elites who've already partially smashed the internet because of surveillance capitalism, etc.
Loan denied because you let your house guests use your wifi? great future y'all are building here. google can't even correctly profile my user-agent and these companies will be a source for CREDIT SCORING data? this is a failed experiment before it even begins. Capitalism is officially a dead-end now, IMO, since this is a possible future.
