My worst interview was some middling Canadian software shop that wouldn't let me use a Python IDE to implement a pagination function; like others, they wanted to do it in Notepad / Google Docs. I complained repeatedly and their defense was that "Amazon was using a similar process to find engineers". I asked if they were paying in Amazon stock. I did not get a call back, and, in retrospect, it was for the best.
