Just because you don't enjoy something doesn't mean other people also don't? Like yeah most content is in fact just a variation on other content, but that doesn't mean that thought didn't go into that remix.
Yes the thought is 'how to squeeze some money for myself out of this currently popular thing XYZ'. This goes beyond tiktok, I'd say its human nature for better or worse (including sizeable audience who actually accepts that)
There are absolutely people like that, but I think you are wildly overestimating the proportion of people who are pessimistically trying to maximize profit vs making content for fun.
