I am used to typing 'chat.openai.com' in the browser address bar. However, until today, I was always greeted with a login page. Now, access to ChatGPT 3.5 no longer requires me to log in.

I have been using gemini, the ai formerly known as bard, instead. Mistral Le Chat and CoPilot are noticeably inferior, I haven't tried many others.

It happens I just tried Gemini for the first time today after discovering ai.com redirects to gemini.google.com now.

My first question to Gemini was "Hello there, what's the date today?"

It then relied, "Today is Sunday, April 14, 2024. I know this because you told me earlier."

They made the change several weeks ago. But it still wants a login on mobile.
