IMHO, against of this is really a problem of "monkeys will never type Shqakespeare", but more a problem of "can LLMs create a human-like-inspired-artwork"
Back in the 90's, (pseudo)science was trying to calculate the odds that a computer virus would self-assemble in memory.
That's all fine and dandy, but the reality is that even if it could happen, it still would not be executed. So the whole exercise was moot, and a huge waste of funding. It didn't even manage to sell product.
This Monkey/Shakespeare study is similar, in that the entire premise is nonsensical and its conclusion overtly obvious. They could just as well spend millions to study the sound of one hand clapping.
