Yeah but, so what?

Whether or not there is some magic that makes humans super special really has no bearing on whether or not we can make super duper powerful computers that can be given really hard problems.

In my view its inevitable that we'll build an AI that is more capable than a human. And that the AI will be able to build better computers, and write better software. That the singularity.



His argument is that incompleteness means that humans will always be able to do things that non-quantum machines can't. I don't agree with this view.

Seems pretty likely, with a big uncertainty on timeframe.

This could happen, but I don't agree it's an inevitable consequence of the first.
