Notice that they redesigned the cube to be strong enough to withstand the pressures, and they have fixed spindles on each face.

So yes, this is a stunning achievement, but I'd still like to see a machine that has to handle the cube: To be given a scrambled cube, look over it with a camera from only one angle, then solve with "hands".

I've watched people do sub-five second solves, and I find that more impressive.

Not to take anything away ... this is still stunning.
