It was the first thing i woudl do in any project. Now it can just be vanilla JDBC with tons of duplicated boilerplate. AT least in the early stages.

spring's JdbcTemplate has a nice query pattern that gets rid of a lot of boilerplate by passing each fetched row to a lambda
