You definitely are in the minority - of minus one. :)

Between diary and blog, a blog is the better option, because it has all the advantages of a diary, but also the potential upside of publicity (if you want it).

> the potential upside of publicity

How much publicity have you received? Be careful what you wish for. It's crucial to note that publicity brings a number of potential downsides. For example, close to home, Hacker News commenters will totally trash you, whether you deserve it or not.

"Be careful" ...

Thanks, but no thanks, for unasked-for advice. It's a tendency a lot of people have. They need to get a life. See what I did there?

"It's crucial to note".

Hee hee. On the same lines as the above one. Crucial for who? Rosicrucians, maybe?

"Hacker News commenters will totally trash you" ...

You mean you give a flying fuck about their opinion?

I would feel sorry for you, except for the fact that I don't feel (the need to feel) sorry for anyone.

Get a life, other than as an unpaid advisor, that is.

>How much publicity have you received?

Plenty. More than you ever will, in multiple lives.

One final telling point, for everyone here, not just for you, because, over time, I've detected a good deal of wimpishness, and ironically, at the same time, entitled attitude, along with racism and other forms of prejudice, among some/many of the HN echo chamber crowd around here:

If you're scared of downsides, you don't deserve the upsides, and probably have not got, and will not get many of the latter, ever.

>For example, close to home, Hacker News commenters will totally trash you, whether you deserve it or not.

Close to home?

Yeah, right. Har de har har! You must be even more of pond scum than I figured you out as being earlier, if you think of this cesspool as home.
