$20/month for hobbyists seems really high, especially since this doesn't seem to hook directly into my servers to detect outages for me.

Plus, why are you limiting subscribers so much? 500 max for the startup plan?

For anyone interested in doing this on the cheap I recently hacked up a hubot script which does pretty much the same thing for stashboard, fork away.

First thoughts when I saw this: Must sign up immediately, this is going to save me hours and looks great!

First thoughts when I saw pricing page (sadly): for $950-$3000/year, I'll just build it myself :(

I'd be happy to pay $25-50/month for a slimmed down offering but with no limit on subscribers (that seems a strange vector to limit tbh)

But... beautiful service. Will keep an eye on it.

Hey Joss, Danny here from StatusPage. We initially charged per notification, but it felt a little nickle and dimey and decided to switch to a limit of subscribers with unlimited notifications sent. Some customers didn't use notifications just because they didn't like the thought of a variable cost associated with the account.

We recently made this change, so feedback is appreciated. I'll send you an email to discuss further.

Cheers for the reply! Myname at gmail is the best address. Didn't mean to be disparaging about the service which looks fantastic if it were in budget.
