I remember when everyone took Microsoft to task for their "private" APIs in Windows, deep IE integration, etc to give their own apps an advantage,and forced them to level the playing field.

Why is no one up in arms about Apple doing essentially the same thing with Safari vs. UIWebView?



Possibly because Microsoft never had the ability to restrict your ability to sell software for their platform?


Because it's also a sane choice security wise?

It's not like it's not the fastest web view widget among mobile operating systems already.
